Director A.R Murugadoss now officially announced in his twitter handle that Ilayathalapathy Vijay's Kaththi crossed the 100 crores club mark. Kaththi which was released on Diwali made huge collections from not only Tamil Nadu, Kerala but also massive collections from Karnataka, U.S.A, Australia, U.K, Malaysia and few other overseas countries. Kaththi made a record INR 24 crores on the opening day breaking Enthiran's opening day collections record for Tamil version alone.

Kaththi went on to make around INR 80 crores overall in the first week and now it was earlier confirmed by Kaththi music director Anirudh Ravichander and now the director himself confirms that Kaththi had grossed above INR 100 Crores worldwide! Ilayathalapathy Vijay fans can certainly rejoice now! After Thuppaki now its Kaththi! 2nd 100 crore club movie for Vijay!
