இந்நிலையில் முற்போக்கு மாணவர் முன்னணி அமைப்பின் ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளரான மாறன், நடிகர் விஜய் மற்றும் கத்தி குழுவிற்க்கு அறிக்கை ஒன்றை வெளியிட்டுள்ளார், அதில் எங்கள் பேச்சை மீறி படத்தை தமிழகத்தில் கத்தி படத்தை வெளியிட்டால் விஜய்க்கு இது தான் கடைசி படமாக இருக்கும் என எச்சரிக்கை விடுத்துள்ளனர். இதனால் விஜயின் ரசிகர்கள் கடும் கோபத்தில் இருகின்றனர்.

Kaththi is an upcoming 2014 Tamil action thriller film written and directed by AR Murugadoss. The film stars Vijay in a dual role alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu, with Neil Nitin Mukesh, who made his debut in Tamil cinema through this film, and Tota Roy Chowdhury portraying the antagonist roles. 

Anirudh Ravichander composed the soundtrack album and background score for the film cinematography was done by George C. Williams, and the film was edited by A. Sreekar Prasad. Eros International purchased the theatrical and audio rights for the film and Lyca Productions and Ayngaran International bankrolled the venture. Principal photography commenced on 3 February 2014.
