Kochadaiiyaan Review and Analysis

Superstar Rajinikanth's Kochadaiiyaan is India's first photo realistic performance capture movie, the movie starts with a bang of Vintage Rajinikanth's heroism and voiced by A.R Rahman. The story is simple and mainly revolves around the deeds and Actions of Rana(Rajinikanth), son of a mighty Kochadaiiyaan(Rajinikanth), the story is about how Rana fights to regain his Father's lost glory.

 CAST & CREW:
Rajinikanth, Deepika Padukone, Sharath Kumar, Nassar, Aadhi, Shobana, Jackie Shroff

Director: Soundarya. R. Ashwin

Music: A.R Rahman

Writing this review or analysis in short, just not to reveal the complete plot of the movie, writing down what works and what Doesn't work:

What Works:
Superstar Rajinikanth's Mind blowing screen presence and the dynamics in his voice, to be precise he carries the entire movie from the beginning till the end to a great level with good doze of entertainment provided. A.R Rahman's brilliant BGM which certainly matches Hollywood standards. One has to say the costumes are very brilliant and has been shown in a very grand way throughout the entire run of the movie, special appreciation for that effort put in. Editing By Antony is crisp. K.S Ravikumar's screenplay is another biggest asset to the movie, one has to say that the veteran director has dealt with the screenplay with ease! Special mention to the Sword from the Armour scene, Superstar is shown in a mind blowing manner in the sword action sequences, which will be the highlight of the movie.

What Doesn't work:
The Quality of the visuals is the only flaw in the movie, it might not be that good if compared with Performance captured photo realistic movies from Hollywood, one can easily debate about the quality but one has to understand with the available resources the team managed well and movie can be termed as a decent attempt in Indian cinema.

Verdict: Overall its an out and out Superstar Rajinikanth Movie, Spare few flaws in the Visuals, go watch it for Thalaivar and mainly for the scintillating sound of his voice and for this new attempt in Indian cinema.

B.O.S Rating: 3.75/5
