VEERAM AND JILLA B.O REPORT AND ANALYSIS

B.O REPORT Till JAN 26th

Jilla and veeram, releasing on the same day on 10th Jan and both did great business during the long holidays, comparing both the movies, Veeram did better than jilla in Tamilnadu on the R.O.I basis  (Returns on Investment), Jilla performed well in Kerala, UK & other European countries, veeram too performed well in Australia and in USA, and both did well in Malaysia, Singapore and other countries. Veeram's distribution rights price when compared to jilla is a bit less, also the 30% entertainment tax played a spoilsport, otherwise it would have been a huge profit for all the parties in TN, especially the distributors .

 VEERAM:

 TamilNadu: Gross = 58+ crores, nett = 41 crores, shares = 29+ crores - Hit
Overseas: Gross = 19 + crores - Hit
Kerala - Gross = 3.5 crores - Hit
Karnataka - 1.5 crores (Average) Break even
R.O.I - 1 crore - Hit
Total Gross WW = 83+ crores.

JILLA:

 TamilNadu: Gross = 53+ crores, Nett = 37 crores, shares 26+ crores =  - Above Average
Oversesas: Gross = 21+ crores -  Hit
Kerala - Gross = 9.5 crores - Superhit
Karnataka - Gross = 2 crores (Average)
R.O.I - 1 crore - Hit
Total Gross WW = 86.5 crores
